ALAN ARTHUR - Senior Pastor
Alan Arthur is the Pastor of First Baptist Church in San Saba, Texas. A native of Buda, Texas, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving the Zondervan Greek Student Award for his outstanding work in New Testament Greek. He is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Alan is a passionate preacher and teacher who regularly speaks at various conferences and chapel services. His ministry is marked by a deep commitment to biblical exposition, persistent prayer, and a heart for reaching the lost with the good news of the gospel.
Alan and his wife Jenna are expecting their first child in August. They are excited to welcome their little girl while continuing to serve the Lord and His church together.

BRANDON SMITH - Music Minister
Brandon L. Smith was raised in a pastor's home where he learned from an early age the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through the influence of his parents, he developed a love for music and began serving in ministry alongside them in the churches they pastored.
After high school, Brandon attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Music and an Associate of Arts in Pastoral Ministries. He is also an Ordained Minister of the Gospel through Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Brandon married his wife, Melissa, in 2003, and together they have three children: Kalee, Stella, and Ethan. With more two decades of worship leadership experience, Brandon is passionate about leading people into the presence of God through authentic, Christ-centered worship.

JENNA ARTHUR - Interim Children’s Minister
Jenna Arthur has previously worked in children's ministry at First Baptist Belton and Hyde Park Baptist Church. Jenna earned her Bachelor's in Christian Studies and Education at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She has a passion for sharing the gospel and developing disciples amongst the next generation.

J.D. BARKER - Youth Minister
J.D. Barker has served has youth minister since August 2016. He and his wife, Michelle, have four children. J.D. is a native of San Saba, graduating from San Saba High School in 2005. J.D. earned his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of North Texas in 2009. During his time in college, J.D. served in the college ministry of Denton Bible Church in Denton, TX. He also completed the Young Guns discipleship program, taught by Denton Bible’s senior pastor, Tommy Nelson. J.D. has a passion for youth and a desire to make disciples of Christ who in turn make disciples.
