Parenting children is an awesome responsibility that often can feel overwhelming. “Am I doing this right? How do I lead my children well? How can I make sure they love and follow the Lord?” These, and so many other questions, flood the thoughts of mothers and fathers every day. SSFBC values and places a high importance of the role of parents in the formation of their children’s spiritual lives. We want to equip parents to nurture the faith of their children.

On Sunday, January 12, we are excited to welcome Dr. Richard Ross to San Saba’s First Baptist Church. Richard Ross, PhD, is husband to LaJuana, who has joined him in a lifetime of loving teenagers. Richard served as student pastor for thirty years and now is a volunteer with teenagers and parents at Wedgwood Baptist in Fort Worth. Richard is professor to the next generation of student pastors at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. He has written over 25 books and speaks in over 40 conferences and churches each year.

Dr. Ross will teach three different sessions on January 12, all of which will encourage parents & grandparents in their role of leading their children spiritually. Here is a break down of the day:
